The Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) is a consequence of the visit of the Ford Foundation Team to India in 1953 which emphasised the need for a national apex body for Micro, Small, Village, Cottage and Rural Enterprises. FASII was ushered into existence in the year 1959 under the sponsorship of the Government of India. Padamshree A.R. Bhat, a Gandhian, was instrumental in the edifice of FASII. FASII’s Headquarter in New Delhi was inaugurated by the then President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan in the year 1963.
Since 1963 FASII has played an instrumental role by it’s own accord and with the help of Government of India to make contributions for advancement of the MSME Sector in India and pave the roadmap for helping India to be a Global Economic Power
FASII is the apex body of micro, small, village, cottage and rural enterpr4ises in the country. FASII was ushered into existence in the year 1959 under the sponsorship of the Government of India in response to the recommendation of the “Ford Foundation Team” which visited India in the year 1953.
FASII’s Headquarter at Delhi was inaugurated by Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India in the year 1963. Owing to its dense membership strength FASII is given representation in all the councils and committees connected with Micro and Small Enterprises of the Centre as well as State governments.
The Research wing of FASII helps in finding solutions for practical complications for Micro and Small enterprises
In order to support the objectives of Start Up India, FASII provides incubation services to early stage ventures
Until recently there wasn't any Arbitration Forum which existed specially for Small and Micro Industries.
Skill Development forum of FASII is inspired by the establishment of Ministry of Skill Development.
